New developments in artificial intelligence (AI) are beginning to change the way businesses operate. As more companies strive toward increased productivity, some departments, such as the finance function of an organization, are implementing artificial intelligence into the routine aspects of their work.
As part of a panel, Michael Lin, senior vice-president and chief information officer for Morneau Shepell, discussed if this evolution makes sense over the long-term for organizations and society. It also included thoughts from Dr. Fred Popowich, executive director of the Big Data Initiative at Simon Fraser University.
The panel discussion Artificial Intelligence: Will machines take over Finance? was held on June 16, 2017 at the Westin Resort and Spa, Whistler & Whistler Conference Centre as part of the FEI Canada Conference, Reaching for the Peak, in Whistler, B.C.
