Supremex appoints new CEO
Monteral-based Supremex Inc., one of Canada’s largest producer of stock and custom-manufactured envelopes and a growing provider of packaging and related products, has appointed Stewart Emerson as president and CEO, effective immediately.
Emerson was previously president and chief operating officer at Supremex; a role in which he just recently signed a multi-year $27 million sales agreement (valued at approximately $9 million per year) with a U.S. customer to supply packaging products. He began his career with the organization in 1990 and has held a number of senior management positions with the organization, including vice president and general manager and general sales manager.
“The Board has been impressed with Stewart’s leadership, vision and change agenda and this is reflected in his rapid elevation to the chief executive role,” said George Armoyan, chairman of the Board of Directors. “In addition, his excellent understanding of the envelope industry throughout North America and solid knowledge of adjacent and related industries made him the ideal candidate to lead the organization at the highest level.”
