New Age Electronics, and a division of SYNNEX Corporation, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Meta Watch to sell its line of fashionable, high-end smartwatches to the retail channel.
Meta Watch’s META M1 is a new premium brand boasting eight elegant smartwatch configurations and premium finishes complete with a simple, connected watch face that delivers relevant information via iOS or Android smartphones. The assortment includes the M1 Core, M1 Color and M1 Limited.
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) recently noted that the growth potential for the smartwatch category continues to increase, as smartwatches have become both fashionable and mainstream. CEA expects the number of smartwatches showcased at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to double from 2014 to 2015. According to BI Intelligence, the global smartwatch market is expected to reach $9.2 billion by 2018.
The META M1 line is constructed using stainless steel cases, with stainless steel or ballistic nylon lugs and a variety of high quality strap materials including stainless steel bracelets, leather and natural rubber. Black or Rose Gold plated versions are also available. The connected smartwatch platform can be customized to work with a variety of services via the META smartphone app rather than multiple locally run applications. These curated notifications ensure a focus on the traditional wristwatch experience, providing information at a glance.
