Market Information and Trade Data
The Canadian Office Products Association provides its members with marketplace data and industry intelligence to help them in their business. COPA’s Trade Data Reports are based on Statistics Canada, Canadian Border Services and Industry Canada and provide import quantities/costs by product categories (HS Codes). Other specialty reports are distributed from time to time, such as a Labour and Wage Report, which examines several important developments in the Canadian labour market, and Financial Analysis reports comparing retail, wholesale and manufacturing industries. COPA also produces an Industry Salary-Compensation Report based on surveys conducted every two years.

Awards Program
The COPA Awards Program continues to recognize and honour excellence in the office and business products sector demonstrated through product innovation, marketing genius, community service, and individual excellence.
Scholarship Fund
Each year, the COPA Scholarship Fund awards outstanding students connected to our member companies. Scholarships are available to qualifying students who work or who have worked for, or whose parents/guardians/grandparents work for a COPA member company. Since 2007, COPA has awarded tens of thousands of dollars to students in our industry; providing much needed help and support to our member companies’ families.
Networking and Learning Events
Seminars & Conferences
Throughout the year, COPA hosts a variety of seminars touching on timely and useful topics affecting our members. Learning sessions feature experts who know the subject matter being discussed are who are able to get through the fluff and speak to what matters to businesses. These events aim to provide in-depth information in short bursts to ensure maximum impact.
Once per year, COPA hosts a learning and networking conference around a specific theme. These conferences bring in topical experts to provide valuable information in a variety of business areas that can help our members thrive.
There is something for everyone; we are certain you will come away with something to apply to your business or professional development when you attend any of our seminars or conferences.
Members can attend many seminars for free or at a nominal cost. Conferences are also priced to keep cost at a minimum while delivering quality speakers and networking opportunities.

Annual Gala & Scholarship Fundraiser
Mixing philanthropy, recognition, and camaraderie this event brings together the best in the OP industry! As COPA’s annual close out event, the Annual Gala does it all: Honouring the winners of the COPA Awards Program, raising funds for worthwhile causes, and providing a fun atmosphere for our members to mingle and get connected just before the hectic Holiday Season begins.

Industry Day with Golf Tournament
The COPA Golf Tournament is the biggest summer event bringing together the full spectrum of the Canadian OP industry. This event continues to mix business with pleasure, providing a fun, casual and relaxed atmosphere where new connections can be made and deals can be closed.
The tournament is held each year in May or June and attracts over 200 OP professionals. Regardless of your golf skill level, you will find this a very enjoyable and beneficial day!
Not a golfer, but still want to participate?
In 2013, COPA introduced a non-golf component to the tournament for those who don’t know the difference between a tee and club, or who simply don’t like to use either! Now non-golfers don’t have to miss out on the camaraderie and networking!
Non-golfers spend the day in a nearby location doing other leisurely activities, such as getting pampered at the spa or salon, doing aerobics, playing tennis or swimming; afterwards, they join the rest of their colleagues for dinner and the golf awards presentations at the golf course!
It’s truly the perfect way to build and maintain those all important business relationships!
