We are holding a free learning session on February 21 to explain the importance of data and data analysis for office products businesses. Now that you will be receiving in-depth market data and analysis with your COPA membership, you will need to know how to make the most of this extremely valuable insight to benefit your business. This two-part seminar will equip you with the tools to effectively use this data.
PRESENTATION ONE: Data and Why It’s Important
Victor Coscarella, Eric Green, and Kate Ragotte of Askuity will explain how today’s leading hardware, houseware and office products brands are leveraging data to grow sales and build stronger relationships with key retailers. COPA members will learn how the Canadian Hardware & Housewares Manufacturers Association (CHHMA) members are taking advantage of their POS and inventory data to improve merchandising, reduce out-of-stocks and build stronger relationships with retail buyers and planners.
Topics that will be covered by Askuity in detail:
- The trends shaping hardware, houseware and office products
Askuity will present findings from the 2018 Point of Sale Data Study, exposing the trends that are impacting big-box retailing in these categories.
- Getting ahead at national retailers such as The Home Depot
Learn from Eric Green, former president of Siamons International (Concrobium Mold Control), about how vendors can use data to better inform key business decisions and become subject matter experts for line reviews.
- Reporting that sets your company apart
Is your company potentially leaving money on the table, failing to recognize inventory problems that are resulting in lost sales? Learn about the must-have reports that your entire retail team should be reviewing on a weekly basis to get ahead of out-of-stocks and stocking issues.
- How COPA and CHHMA members are turning data into opportunity
Did you know that your fellow COPA and CHHMA members are leveraging new software and technology to get more out of their data? Askuity will be inviting COPA and CHHMA members to present how they are using data to unlock new sales opportunities.
PRESENTATION TWO: Seeing the Forest and the Trees
Facilitated by COPA and CHHMA analysts, this portion of the seminar will present fact-based information about numbers and data. Our analysts will expound on these topics:
- How to leverage Canadian data to find hidden markets, lower costs and improve pricing strategies with detailed examples.
- How to develop a relationship of trust with buyers and marketers amid skepticism.
- How to base business objectives and key decisions on verifiable facts, and benchmark on a regular basis.
