What We Give Back

Charity Fundraising

For many years, COPA devoted fundraising proceeds from its Golf Tournament and Silent Auction (Stars Gala) to worthy community causes, including The Children’s Miracle Network and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

In 2008, the Board of Directors made a decision to direct all our fundraising efforts toward our own charity, the COPA Scholarship Fund; which provides much needed financial support to post-secondary students connected to our member companies.

However, 2013 marked a return to supporting wider community causes with our first-ever, and wildly successful, Movember fashion show at the Stars Gala!

The Fundscrip initiative allows members to support COPA charities without actually making an out of pocket donation!

FundScrip is a fundraising program that enables you to pay for your everyday purchases with gift cards or eGift cards. A percentage of the cards that you purchase is then donated to COPA charities. This means that just by paying for your groceries and gas with gift cards you can easily generate $25 every month for your group – that’s $300 a year!

With a growing list of over 170 National retailers, FundScrip makes it easy to order, shop and make a difference! Plus, you will get additional savings with monthly deals and discounts through Fundscrip.

Why Fundscrip:

  • It doesn't cost you anything extra
  • You don’t have to change where you shop or what you buy
  • Your everyday purchases add up to make a difference very quickly

To participate, all you have to do is register with Fundscrip and enter the Invitation Code HRLW7E when prompted.

2014 Supported Charities

For 2014, COPA will be raising funds for ALS Canada (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Movember, and the COPA Scholarship Fund.

Committee Volunteers

Like most associations, COPA relies on the dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers who contribute on an ad hoc or on-going basis to its continuous improvement. Volunteering is also a great way to expand or gain leadership experience and improve or add valuable skills/knowledge to your repertoire.

Volunteer Requirements

Committee work requires support of your employer and a commitment to meet 3 – 5 times per year, on average. There may be additional work to be completed outside of regular meeting times. From time to time, new committees are struck or existing committees require additional members. If you’d like to find out more about volunteer opportunities with COPA, please email

We acknowledge and thank all the following individuals for their commitment to the office products industry and their Association.
